Sultan Al Shamsi is the UAEnic Manager of Etisalat/UAEnic. UAEnic, sponsored by Emirates Telecommunication Corporation - Etisalat, established in 1995.
UAEnic is accredited registry for (.ae) Domain Names. The UAEnic also servers as LIR ( Local Internet Registry ) in the UAE.
Mr. Al Shamsi also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Internet Group ( ISOC Chapter in the UAE ). He is also an active Member of RIPE NCC one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) providing Internet resource allocations, registration services and co-ordination activities that support the operation of the Internet globally.
