MENOG at RIPE 57

RIPE 57, the first RIPE Meeting to be held in the Middle East has been hosted by Etisalat and held in Dubai from 26-30 October 2008. This prestigious event brings together ISPs, telecommunication companies, educational institutions and RIPE NCC members from around the world to discuss the functioning of the Internet.

Instead of holding a separate MENOG meeting in Autumn 2008, the MENOG coordination team has decided to collaborate with the RIPE Meeting organisation team to ensure that the Middle East Internet community plays an active role in RIPE 57.

The coordination team has worked to ensure that the issues that are relevant in the Middle East as well as to an international audience are included on the RIPE 57 meeting agenda. In addition, the coordination team has agreed to actively participate in the development of the RIPE 57 meeting agenda.
