Sandra Gijzen
RIPE NCC
Sandra Gijzen is the RIPE Network Co-ordination
Centre's (RIPE NCC)
External Relations Administrator and is responsible for maintaining and
promoting support for the work of RIPE and the RIPE NCC. In particular,
she maintains and expands outreach to governments and regulators and
develops activities to support external relations strategies.
A long time employee of the RIPE NCC, Sandra has held several different
positions in the organisation over the last ten years, including
Training Administrator, Training Coordinator and Conference/Training
coordinator. Sandra was responsible for the organisation and logistics
of the RIPE NCC Training Courses, at least one of which is held every
week throughout the 73 countries in the RIPE NCC's service region. She
has also organised RIPE Meetings, RIPE NCC Regional Meetings and is
responsible for the planning of workshops with the OECD and CEO lunches.
Sandra is part of the Middle East Network Operators Group (MENOG)
Coordination Team and helped to establish the success of MENOG by
coordinating the first ever meeting, MENOG 1, held in Bahrain in April
2007.
