Gert Doering was born in 1971 in Munich. After studying Physics at the
Technical University in Munich, he went into IP networking in 1993, and
has done this since then. Gert's first contact with IPv6 was in 1997,
being curious what this new IP protocol was all about. Since January
2003, Gert is chairman of the Address Policy Working Group at RIPE.
