Filiz Yilmaz
Policy Development Officer, RIPE NCC

Filiz Yilmaz is responsible for the activities of the Policy Development Office. The office supports the RIPE Policy Development Process through proposal tracking, analysing policies and proposals and supporting the RIPE NCC's implementation of policies.

Within her previous position in the RIPE NCC, she was involved with operational aspects of IP address and AS Number resource registration and management and delivering training courses to Local Internet Registries including DNS Security (DNSSEC) and the Routing Registry. Filiz received her BSc in Mathematics and then her MSc in Cognitive Science from the Middle East Technical University where she then also went on to work for the Computer Centre and Informatics Institute holding technical and research positions. She joined the RIPE NCC in 2001.
